It never turned pink??? Even after two spoonfuls??? So maybe it’s 0??? I’m gonna dump enough in to make it a SLAM level and check again asap

Is the CYA 30? Who knows, not me. It still didn’t reach the line even tho I was being generous. Cole knocked the first one over. And I could see the logo (just) even in low light. Best up my CYA just so it’s easier to test lmao.
I may have leaned more towards 0.5 CC rather than 1 because who wants to know they should SLAM. I’ll keep FC slightly higher and SLAM once it’s cooled down a bit so I know I’ll be able to go out and maintain it without getting instantly burnt.
Tom messed up my high sensitivity hardness test because I lost count. Could be 10 higher. Who knows. I’ll do a standard test next and see if it’s any different. I guess it doesn’t really matter because I have a vinyl liner.

Water looked clear but with (dead) algae along the bottom and was just below the return.
I went out with Kerry to vacuum the pool a bit. I turned the pump on, added 1/2 cup bleach without testing (just vibed it, that’s usually what pool math dictates, lately FC has dropped to ~0-1 each day eek, I know I should do an overnight test)
Vacuumed for ~30m, then started brushing towards the intakes (~10), then tried to get small debris off the top with the leaf shovel (~10m).
By then the water level was just above the return so I called it because I was starting to burn.
Used a spa test strip, FC was ~1 when it’s been reading 0 lately. So I put in another 1/2 cup of bleach. We’ll see what it’s like tomorrow. I will do a proper drop test then too.

Spa strip test looked like it could be around 1ppm of free chlorine still. But possibly 0? With the amount of heat, wind, added clean water from evap/leak, I popped in another half a cup. I mean yesterday I added 2 cups and this morning it measured at 1ppm. The water still looks mostly clear tho. I just need to vacuum out all the dead algae.

I estimated the CYA because it didn’t quite reach the 30ppm line and was cloudy but I wasn’t 100% sure it was gone or not. But at 30ppm I assumed it would be 100% gone.
The chlorine hardness test was only a standard and I should have done a high sensitivity test according to the result being under 100ppm. I will do a high sensitivity test next week tho.
The Baracuda test strip came out with similar results, except for the free chlorine which looked closer to 0 than 1.
