pool looked yellow free today in direct sun. filter changed back to filter mode
initial ascorbic acid treatment with metal was used on 6/2/20 (24 days ago). now noticing slight yellow stains around white stairs and very slight yellow spots along floor in shallow end near wall. hose water had been added on 2 occasions to bring water level to middle screw on skimmer. FC left alone at 7, PH at 7.2. 48oz of metal out added. filter on recirculate at quick clean setting at 2am. pump will run on recirculate until the afternoon might have to added metal out on a weekly basis at smaller doses OR only when adding water from hose

6/3/20 11am pool perfectly clear and blue, no yellow. backwash 2 min until clear, then rinse for 10 seconds. repeated 3 times. 4.5lbs of DE added.
6/2/20 FC - 5, PH - 7.0, recirculate, 2.2lbs ascorbic acid added at 4:50pm 5:15pm - FC - 0, almost all yellow removed from stairs....added 1lb more ascorbic acid 5:35pm - all stains gone. added 2.5 bottles of metal out. fluff added to skimmers. water is perfectly clear and blue
